01 How does the platform work?

For managers and team leaders, first click on 'Sign Up'. Enter your company name, your name, your email and your chosen password. After clicking 'create account' you'll receive an email to activate it.

You will then arrive at your dashboard. In the background, you'll receive another email containing a direct dashboard link for later reference.

In the dashboard the first thing to do is add wallet credit for all team members. Take the total of what you eventually want to donate, and divide it by the number of team members. Then set an expiry date. This determines how long your swipe-card survey will run for. Lower down, you will see a unique link. Notice that the company name previously entered is included within this link. This link can be copied and pasted into an email or message to your team members.

When a team member clicks on the link, they arrive at the signup screen where they will see your company name. They can add their details and start the swipe-card survey. In a similar way to popular dating apps, your team members can swipe left or right, depending on what resonates with them.

At the end of the swipe-cards, they can view their results showing the relevant charities that match the causes they care most about. They can click for more information about each charity if they wish.Now, with their wallet balance, they can decide which charities the money should go towards, and once they enter the amount and click confirm, their wallet balance decreases accordingly. When all the amount has been allocated, they can see their choices in their profile screen.

Meanwhile, in the manager's dashboard, you can click on 'refresh for latest results' and scroll down to see the donations your team members have allocated. If you click on the second tab called 'Stats' you can see the total sessions, total donation amount and other information.

You can view their preferred donation methods and the types of activities they like, in case that's useful for you in future planning. You can also see the popular causes that have been chosen, and these have generated the shortlist of charities your team members saw in their results screens.

At the base of the dashboard you can click 'Donate' and go through to 'Donation details'. Here you will see a summary of the donations and choose whether to 'select all' or only some of the chosen charities to donate to. The final screen is a simple page to enter your payment card information. Once you have made payment, an email receipt is sent to your registered email address that itemises which charities have been donated to. As all the charities on our platform are deductible gift recipients, your donations are tax deductible.

After you've made your first donation, you'll notice a 'History' tab in your dashboard, showing you details of past donations.

02 Who is Give + Get?

Our founders are a group of Australian entrepreneurs with businesses in a variety of industries, united with the common purpose of giving back and helping make the world a better place. Our mission is all about tapping into that innate human desire to help others (the “Give”), while at the same time enabling those who give, to receive all the upside benefits of increased workplace productivity and knowing that all involved have made a real difference to the world (the “Get”).

Our founding team cares passionately about bringing charitable giving into the modern era. We feel that lesser-known charities should be exposed more, and management should hear people in the workforce more. The outcome would be greater philanthropy and productivity.

03 How much of my money goes to charity?

All of the money designated for donation goes to charity. Give + Get makes money through premium features such as advanced AI modules and integrations. Until those have launched, the platform is free to use and even after the features have launched, all the money will still go to charity.

04 Why does this matter?

Enabling your team to be heard can profoundly impact team culture and productivity. Research has shown that effective wellbeing programs can increase financial performance by up to 69%, retention of key talent by up to 50% and productivity by up to 66%. This is why 45% of employers say keeping their team motivated is their top productivity challenge.

It may come as a surprise that Australian workplace productivity has fallen over the last two decades. The research has shown alarming statistics, including that 86% of employees (four in five) feel they are not heard fairly or equally, and 47% claim their leaders completely undervalue underrepresented voices.

Also, did you know that 82% of small to medium charities can't afford fundraising staff? Meanwhile, 86% of charitable donations go to large charities with less impact per dollar. With the Australian Government’s goal to double philanthropic giving by 2030, the benefit will likely be mainly channelled to large charities.

Give + Get provides a supremely efficient way of addressing all of the above issues.

05 What types of users are there?

There are managers and team members.

Managers have a dashboard and a unique URL link; they set the time limit and decide on the donation budget.

Team members, on the other hand, receive the link from the manager, go through the swipe-card survey, and are empowered to decide which charities their share of the donation amount should go to, giving them a sense of responsibility and ownership.

06 Can I be a manager and a team member?

It can be an issue to have both roles as the platform attempts to recognise you so you don't always have to re-enter your information.

If you want to try both roles, use a different browser (not an incognito window), and remember to use a completely different email address.
